Buffalo FieriCon

Food insecurity is a problem many Buffalo residents face. After years of volunteering at FeedMore WNY, I knew I wanted to create an event that would raise awareness, and help create a solution. In 2019 Buffalo FieriCon was born. Buffalo FieriCon is a Guy Fieri themed bar crawl for a cause. Every year Buffalo FieriCon sets out to raise money for local food banks while celebrating the flamboyant chef by dressing up as him. Think Santa-Con, but blonde wigs, sunglasses, and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives catch-phrases! I have been able to grow this organization by getting many local businesses and organizations involved. This year I worked with a local brewery to create an official beer for the event, and expanded the event’s reach by connecting with bars and restaurants that were not participating with the day-of crawl. Buffalo FieriCon has been featured in the national news, radio, TV, podcasts, and local blogs.
